Responsibilities:
Program Support Specialist is responsible for the completion of projects that support operations of the Residential, Day Habilitation and Clinical Departments as well as the management of the front office area at Cutler Pond.
The Program Support Specialist will provide administrative support to the Residential Services Department, the Clinical Department including nursing services and behavior supports, and the Day Habilitation Department.
This position supports the above listed departments across Broome, Chenango and Tioga Counties.
This position's specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the subsequent items, and are characterized in the following five standards of performance, defined as below:
JOB KNOWLEDGECompile information and complete mailings on behalf of the Residential, Day Habilitation and Clinical DepartmentsCreate and maintain databases and other tracking mechanisms to support the work of the Residential, Day Habilitation and Clinical DepartmentsAssist other agency programs with creating and maintaining tracking mechanisms as neededCoordinate special projects, identify required resources and facilitate the project through to completionCoordinate and market the referral and intake process for Residential and Day Habilitation ServicesProcess admissions, discharges and internal moves in CHOICES and TherapProvide clerical assistance on a regular basis including typing correspondence, maintaining electronic and other filing systems, recording meeting minutes, copying/duplicating materials, ordering supplies, etc.
Submit maintenance requests for needed repairsProvide training and assist consumers to develop, maintain and/or improve desired individual goals, living skills and personal needs as assigned or required.
Responsible for oversight of day-to-day operations of Cutler Pond front office area including visitor management, mail distribution, organization of office operations and procedures and answering phones.
Act as role model to consumers and staffAny additional duties as assignedTEAMWORKEncourage and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments in the agency, parents, staff, consumer and community partnersCommunicate all health, safety, consumer and/or program concerns, sensitive situations and incidents to supervisorAttend and participate in all required and/or requested departmental or agency meetingsIII.
DOCUMENTATIONComplete required documentation in conformance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures and billing practicesPerform documentation reviews to ensure records are maintained in conformance with rules, regulations, policies, procedures and billing practicesIV.
COMPLIANCE & ACCOUNTABILITYIdentify and report any untoward incidentsIdentify, report and/or correct all safety hazards including physical plant problems and/or problem work practices and assist with investigating all work-related accidents as requestedParticipate in any investigations as requiredComplete agency investigations as assignedComply with all State and Federal regulations along with agency policies and practicesV.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENTAttend all required training and staff meetings as required by the department, agency and/or State and Federal regulationsAttend at least four (4) additional hours of agency approved training in a related topic that is above and beyond the required agency trainingSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possess good interpersonal, written, oral, and communication abilities and effective time management, organizational and problem solving skillsAble to work scheduled hours that may include mandatory overtime, weekend and/or holiday timeframes.
Also maintain an acceptable work attendance as defined in the agency's personnel policy manual and handbook.
Able to work independently and as a member of a teamAble to manage multiple projects and complete assignments with extreme attention to detail; grammar, spelling, punctuation and report/letter writing must be excellentBe computer literate with knowledge in agency operating systems and applicable software required for department needs.
Demonstrate sound judgment in normal work and emergency situationsMust physically be able to perform required certifications and lift 50 poundsPossess a valid driver's license acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier
Qualifications:
Associates Degree and a minimum of three (3) years experience working in a related field-Or-A combination of education and experience that in the opinion of the reviewing agency, exceeds the above standards of the programIn addition to a competitive wage, ACHIEVE is pleased to provide a full benefit package to full-time employees hired to work 30 or more hours per week.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
