Facility & Maintenance Manager

Employment Solutions is currently seeking candidates for a Facilities & Maintenance Manager located in Conklin, NY.

Promote safety through managerial oversight and continual training on best practices.
Troubleshoot, identify, and remedy operational failures using Root Cause Analysis tools.
Create and maintain accurate process documentation, training programs, and structured routines for all department roles and responsibilities.
Promote an environment of education to promote a high level of expertise amongst the team.
Conduct walk-throughs of all facilities to ensure a high level of cleanliness and protect company assets.
Purchase supplies, parts, and equipment to maximize uptime and control costs.
Build and maintain a preventive maintenance routine for all machines, facilities, and systems, and ensure proper training and compliance within the department.
Meet weekly with the Vice President of Operations on department performance and discuss strategies for continuous improvement.
Prioritize, manage, and communicate with internal customers on maintenance requests.
Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment.
Set daily goals for accountability for all team members.
Regularly monitor quality of work and process compliance and provide continuous feedback.
Create and monitor KPIs and metrics to track department performance and operational efficiency.
Foster a spirit of teamwork and collaboration within the department and with other departments.
Staff and train the team to ensure cross-functional redundancy and efficiency.
Complete annual appraisal and development plans with performance-based metrics and goals.
Monitor employee timekeeping and schedules to ensure compliance with company policies.
Maintain accurate asset documentation, PM schedules, training, machine maintenance logs.
Ensure a culture of respect, employee growth, collaboration, and idea sharing.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Prefer ten (10) years of relevant work experience leading teams in a maintenance environment.
Extremely strong attention to detail.
Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and communicate.
Track record of meticulous record-keeping and documentation.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles and machinery.
Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and engineering disciplines.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and work weekends as needed.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Proficiency/experience with Maintenance software and Asset Management programs.
