Baden-Powell Sout Shop is located in Binghamton, NY at the Council Service Center and provides support for our volunteers and Scouts.
We handle a variety of merchandise from uniforms to advancement awards and we are looking for someone fun and motivated to join our staff.
Bonus points if you're a Scouter yourself! Position
Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly manner and assist with product information Help customers in billing and payment processes at the stores counter Answering store phone and emails Order fulfillment Communicate low stock to Store Manager for reordering Support local council promotions Cash handling and register responsibilities Help with bi-annual inventory Maintain the outlook of the store through dusting, cleaning and restocking merchandise on the shelves Other basic shop duties as assigned Position Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a reliable mode of transportation Must be able to pass a background check Excellent customer service skills Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented Ability to work in a team and independently with minimum supervision Time management and ability to prioritize tasks given Willingness to learn about new items and procedures quickly Great written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with computers and POS systems (preferred) At least 1yr experience in a retail setting (preferred) If you are enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and enjoy working supportive environment, we encourage you to apply for the position of Store Clerk.
