Summary:
As a Counter Help team member at our pizza place, you will be the face of our establishment, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
The Counter Help role involves handling customer orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organized counter area.
This position is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere and fostering customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Assist customers with menu inquiries, recommendations, and special requests.
Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Order Processing:
Enter customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Ensure accuracy in order details, including special requests and modifications.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to communicate orders and ensure timely delivery to customers.
Payment Handling:
Process cash and card transactions using the POS system.
Provide customers with accurate receipts and handle change appropriately.
Address payment-related inquiries and issues professionally.
Menu Knowledge:
Familiarize yourself with the menu, including pizza options, side dishes, and beverages.
Stay informed about current promotions, discounts, and special offerings.
Make recommendations to customers based on their preferences and inquiries.
Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized counter area.
Ensure that menus, promotional materials, and condiments are well-stocked and neatly displayed.
Assist in keeping the dining area clean and inviting.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate order preparation and delivery.
Update customers on the status of their orders and provide estimated wait times.
Problem Resolution:
Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with management to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with other counter help team members and kitchen staff.
Assist in various tasks to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.
Adaptability:
Handle busy periods and high customer volumes with a positive and customer-centric attitude.
Be flexible in taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Knowledge of the menu and the ability to make recommendations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Friendly and approachable demeanor.
