Summary:
Assist with the qualitative analysis of documentation and deficiency analysis within the medical record to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and facility.
Monitor delinquent record and provide potential suspension notifications to clinicians.
Education, License & Cert:
High school diploma required.
Knowledge of medical terminology or completion of TGC medical terminology course after hire required.
Experience:
Experience with a windows-based computer environment.
Previous medical record experience preferred.
Average typing skills required.
Essential Functions:
1.
Analyze record for completeness.
Note missing elements and verify/enter deficiencies into Epic system.
2.
Assist providers with completion of the legal medical record.
3.
Audit incomplete charts and update in Epic system.
4.
Routinely access and safeguard confidential information.
5.
Participate in departmental quality monitoring and improvement process.
6.
Monitor transcription database and assist with correction process.
Other Duties:
1.
Provide clerical support for coding team.
2.
Perform other duties as assigned.
3.
Keep abreast of changes in deficiency module associated with Epic upgrades.
4.
Ability to multi task and prioritize daily workload.
The pay range for this position is $16.
00-$22.
37 per hour.
