Access Care Representative / Overview The Access Care Representative performs a wide variety of activities related to scheduling, registration, financial compliance, and customer support for all services performed.
The Access Care areas act as the entry point.
It is the responsibility of an Access Care Representative to promote a caring, professional manner, while collecting Accurate and complete data necessary for billing and account processing.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Two years' experience in medical environment with working knowledge of insurance applicable to outpatient medical care.
Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Medical Terminology, experience with scheduling.
License/Certification Minimum Required:
Not Applicable Preferred:
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Current driver's license Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients.
The office is air conditioned, as well we heated.
Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants is possible.
Environment is fast-paced and includes frequent interruptions.
Position requires frequent sitting, walking, standing and bending, with the possibility of patient transport.
Mobility may include access through a multi-level facility, including climbing stairs, as well as coverage of multiple sites.
Reasonable access to transportation to meet work requirements made in the ordinary course of business in a timely and efficient manner is necessary.
Age of Patients Served All Age Groups HIPAA Roles-Based Access to Patient Information Non Clinical - Access to patient demographics/insurance information - Level 1.
