The Area Manager plays a key role in determining the overall level of customer satisfaction of services provided by Cleantec.
Through the daily contact with employees and clients, the area manager will best be able to gauge the status of all customer operations within his book of work.
By utilizing the company methods of formally tracking the ongoing work at each customer site, the area manager will be able to implement the opportunities for improvement as identified by the formal customer review process, and focus resources accordingly.
By working in each customer's facility, deficiencies in services can be identified and isolated before they become apparent to the client.
The Area Manager position is a full-time position.
The client's expectations are met through the ability of the area manger to properly assign labor, train and develop best work habits of our employees, perform and oversee important projects in the client's facility, and provide a point of direct contact between the customer and Cleantec management.
90% of the Area Managers time is spent in the customer's sites, working and coordinating the work with our employees.
10% of the area mangers time is spent on formal performance evaluations of his staff and related written reporting of ongoing operations.
Cleantec seeks to maintain its high level of customer service.
The area manager will be responsible to insure that all clients have service for each assigned service time.
This may occasionally entail the area manger to perform cleaning functions in the case of an employee absence, illness, dismissal, or other cause.
Successfully managing and maintaining the account base depends upon the area manager's ability to develop key people to service his book of clients.
The area manager will be expected to identify, maintain, motivate, and further develop these key employees as a core function of his position.
Customer retention is critical to the overall profitability of the company.
The area manager will demonstrate the ability to work with customers to ensure continued satisfaction on a daily basis.
Customer issues brought to his attention will be acted upon immediately, in person if possible, and resolved in a quick and decisive manner.
Account labor and materials budgets will be set by the Director of Operations and the area manager will have the responsibility to schedule labor and control material costs to the budgeted amounts.
All new business added to the area managers' scope will be budgeted with input from the area manager and approved prior to the beginning of service.
The area manager is responsible to bring in and remove employees and supervisors from the organization as needed to ensure a quality workforce.
All hiring decisions will made by the office support staff and the Director of Operations.
All terminations will be made through the office support staff as well, with the exception of just cause for immediate termination when needed, and in that case notification to the Director of Operations will be made immediately after.
The area manager is expected to work full time weekly, with his/her schedule arranged around the requirements of the above-described scope of duties.
This will include performing various functions of the position outside of regular business hours.
At a minimum, 40 hours
per week shall be devoted to the position.
